Logistics for Suppliers to Russian Manufacturers

For a factory, late components do not mean “the cargo is late” — they mean a stopped line and a missed production plan. That is why supply logistics for manufacturing is built differently from one-off shipments.

Built around your customer’s production cycle

If your customer in Russia is a manufacturer, your deliveries feed a production schedule: a shipping calendar tied to the production cycle, safety margins on transit times and a back-up mode of transport for critical items. We collect from your premises in the EU or pick up from Chinese factories, lodge the export declaration for you and send you proof of export for VAT zero-rating; import clearance in Russia is arranged turnkey on your customer’s side.

What we ship for manufacturers

  • ✓Machinery and production lines
  • ✓Spare parts and wear parts
  • ✓Components and fasteners
  • ✓Industrial chemicals and raw materials
  • ✓Electrical components and drives
  • ✓Tools and tooling

Sanctions compliance

We only handle goods that are not subject to EU, UK, Swiss or US sanctions. Before we accept a booking we screen the HS codes and the parties; restricted items are declined.

The industry’s pain points — and how we deal with them

A line stopped for one part

For critical spare parts we keep an air channel open (3–10 days, no weight limit): the part flies while the main flow travels by surface. The cost of air freight bears no comparison to the price of a day of downtime.

Customs classification of equipment

Between neighbouring HS (TN VED) codes the Russian duty rate can differ several times over, and some equipment may require an FSB notification. We work through the classification before the contract is signed, with a justification that stands up to scrutiny.

Deliveries to the production plan

A shipping calendar aligned with your customer’s production cycle: weekly groupage from Europe (Vilnius/Warsaw) and China, and a time buffer for the items the line depends on.

Out-of-gauge and heavy lifts

Machine beds, presses and lines travel with project engineering: special vehicles, permits and rigging at unloading. We plan the route for the actual dimensions, not “as usual”.

How we work

Audit of the supply range → HS classification and a check of requirements (certification, notifications) → delivery calendar aligned with the production plan → consolidation at the suppliers → delivery with turnkey customs clearance → air back-up for emergency items.

Indicative “turnkey” rates. B2B only: shipments from 50 kg (air: no weight limit), minimum service fee €200. Sea times are for Rotterdam → St Petersburg: groupage about 2 weeks, container 6–7 days in transit; the container must be declared to the port 3 days before the vessel sails.

Frequently asked questions

How do you handle regular supply to a manufacturer?

We move from one-off requests to a calendar: we fix the product range, lead-time requirements and reorder points, and deliveries then run on the schedule of weekly groupage departures. You and your customer get predictable transit times and a single point of responsibility instead of renegotiating each consignment.

What if a part is needed urgently because the line has stopped?

An air channel with no weight limit: 3–10 days from the supplier’s door to your customer’s warehouse, including customs clearance. For regular supply customers we prepare the route in advance, so in an emergency no time is lost choosing a scheme.

Do you ship complete machines and production lines?

Yes: from a single machining centre to a complete line split into dozens of packages. Project logistics covers out-of-gauge transport, route approval, rigging and a delivery sequence that matches the installation. All equipment is screened against sanctions lists first, and restricted items are declined.

Can you help with the HS code for equipment?

It is one of the biggest sources of savings: between neighbouring codes the duty can differ several times over. We classify the item before the contract is signed and prepare the justification (technical description, catalogues) and, where needed, a preliminary classification ruling.
