Many European manufacturers and distributors still have loyal wholesale customers in Russia, Belarus and the wider CIS — but shipping to them has become complicated. Local customs brokers often decline Russian-bound shipments, carriers ask for documents the sales team has never seen, and without a properly closed export declaration you cannot prove the export and zero-rate the VAT.
Tranzit3 (Cargov Logistics LLC) takes the whole chain off your hands. You sell EXW or FCA, prepare the invoice and packing list and load the truck. We collect the goods, file the EU export declaration (EX1) through our customs agent in your country, consolidate the cargo at our warehouse in Rotterdam, Warsaw or Vilnius, move it across the border and clear it through Russian customs for your buyer. You receive confirmation that the export has been closed at the EU border — for your accounts and your VAT return.
We work only with businesses (B2B wholesale): shipments from 50 kg, air freight without a weight limit, minimum service fee €200. No private parcels and no retail purchases.

Before anything moves, we check the HS codes and the parties involved against the EU, UK, Swiss and US sanctions lists and dual-use lists. If something is restricted, we tell you straight away and do not ship it. - 03Collection and EX1
Our truck collects the goods from your warehouse. Our customs agent files the EX1 in the EU country where the goods are loaded; the MRN is usually issued within one business day. You do not need to visit customs or sign anything there. - 04Consolidation and transport
The cargo goes to our warehouse in Rotterdam, Warsaw or Vilnius and leaves with the weekly groupage (Friday cut-off), or travels directly as a full truck, by sea or by air. - 05Export closed, goods cleared
The customs office of exit closes the EX1 at the EU border; we track the status by MRN and send you the proof of exit. In Russia, a customs representative listed in the Federal Customs Service register clears the goods — on average within 1–2 days — and we deliver them to your customer’s door.
Corridors from the EU to Russia
Sea via Rotterdam
Groupage container from our warehouse in the port of Rotterdam: intake Monday–Wednesday, closing on Friday, vessel to St Petersburg at the weekend. 20–35 days, from €200 per package or €500 per euro pallet. Not affected by border queues.
Road groupage via Warsaw
Our warehouse in Warsaw, weekly truck after the Friday cut-off: from €850 for 3 pallets to a bonded warehouse in Moscow, 4–7 days.
Baltic route via Vilnius
The EU warehouse closest to the border for non-sanctioned groupage: from €300 per pallet to Moscow, 5–10 days, intake every day. Export declarations for Lithuania are filed remotely, from €450.
Full truck (FTL) from any EU city
A dedicated truck loaded at your premises and driven to Russia or Belarus with a trailer swap at the border: from €4,500 Warsaw → Moscow, €6,200 from Slovenia, €6,500 from Italy.
Southern routes
By road to Turkey, then via Georgia and Azerbaijan to the Dagestan border crossing (2–3 weeks), or via Iran and Azerbaijan or the Caspian ferry (40+ days). An alternative when the northern border is congested.
Air from anywhere
From Europe, the USA and Asia in 2–8 days: direct flights and transit via Istanbul and Dubai. Charged by volumetric weight, no weight limit, customs at the airport of arrival.
EX1 export declaration — we file it for you
The EX1 (Export Accompanying Document, EAD) is the EU export declaration. Without an open declaration the goods cannot leave the Union, and without a closed one you cannot prove the export and apply the zero VAT rate. It is filed electronically in the AES system of the EU country where the goods are located and loaded — not necessarily the country where your company is registered.
We file it remotely through our customs agents in Germany, Poland, the Baltic states, the Netherlands, Italy and other EU countries. You send the commercial invoice (description, HS codes, prices, Incoterms) and the packing list; if you have no EORI number, the export can be declared through our agent acting as exporter. For goods that have not been released for free circulation in the EU, we open a T1 transit instead.
Price: €150 when your goods travel with us via our Rotterdam warehouse, from €450 when filed remotely without our transport (per declaration of up to 5 item lines). The price includes monitoring of the closure at the border.
Getting paid by your Russian customer
Direct transfers from Russian banks to European accounts are frequently rejected or returned weeks later. Our supplier-payment service solves this for your buyer: your customer settles with a payment agent under an agency agreement, and a partner company resident in the EU (Estonia, Poland or Bulgaria) pays your invoice by an ordinary SWIFT transfer in euros, quoting your invoice number — usually within 1–3 banking days.
For you it is a normal payment from a European company. The agent’s commission (from 5%) is agreed with your customer in advance. Payments for sanctioned goods or to counterparties on EU sanctions lists are not made.
Compliance comes first
We only handle goods that are not subject to EU, UK, Swiss or US sanctions. Every HS code and every party is screened before the EX1 is filed; sanctioned and dual-use goods are not carried on any corridor. We also help classify goods correctly under TARIC: many items are wrongly considered dual-use, and a correct code backed by a technical description settles the question before shipment.

Questions suppliers ask before the first shipment
Who books and pays for the transport — me or my customer?
Either. In most cases you sell EXW or FCA and your Russian customer books and pays us; you only prepare the documents and load the goods. If you sell DAP or on other terms, we can quote you directly.
How do I get proof of export for my VAT return?
We open the EX1 in the country of loading and monitor it by MRN until the customs office of exit closes it at the EU border. We then send you the proof of exit, which you keep for your accounts and zero-rated VAT.
Do I need an EORI number?
It helps, but it is not essential. If you have no EORI and cannot obtain one quickly, the export can be declared through our customs agent acting as exporter.
Is it legal to ship my goods to Russia?
Goods that are not covered by EU restrictive measures can still be exported. We check the HS codes and all parties against the EU, UK, Swiss and US sanctions lists and dual-use lists before filing the EX1, and we decline anything that is restricted.
What is the minimum shipment?
We work only with businesses: from 50 kg per shipment (air freight has no weight limit), with a minimum service fee of €200. We do not accept private parcels or retail purchases.
How quickly will I get a quote?
During business hours (Monday–Friday, 9:00–19:00 Moscow time) a manager replies within 30 minutes and sends a quote within 2 hours. The rate is held for 14 days.
Which route is best for my goods?
It depends on the volume, urgency and origin. Sea via Rotterdam is the cheapest for larger volumes, road groupage via Warsaw is the fastest for a few pallets, a full truck suits 10+ pallets and air suits urgent goods. We compare corridors in every quote.
What happens if the goods are damaged or lost?
Each shipment can be insured for its full value from 0.3% of the invoice amount. Without insurance, liability is limited by the conventions (CMR, Hague-Visby) — the manager will explain the difference before dispatch.
