Delivering to an exclave
The Kaliningrad region is geographically separated from mainland Russia, borders Poland and Lithuania and has access to the Baltic Sea. This shapes the logistics: goods cannot be driven from mainland Russia without crossing other states, so special schemes are used — a road corridor through the EU or a sea route with a ferry crossing.
Another factor is the region’s special customs status. The Kaliningrad region is a Special Economic Zone (SEZ), which affects how imported goods are cleared. Taking this status into account in the declaration is a condition of correct delivery.
Scheme 1: road corridor via Poland and the Baltics
The fastest way to deliver goods from Europe to Kaliningrad is by road across the Polish or Baltic border. Groupage and full loads are collected from suppliers in the EU, consolidated and driven directly to Kaliningrad. Transit is on average 5–9 days depending on the point of origin and congestion at the crossings.
This option is best for most general cargo: clothing, electronics, components, equipment of standard dimensions. Road delivery gives flexibility on timing and suits regular deliveries. As on every route, we only accept goods that are not subject to EU, UK, Swiss or US sanctions.
Scheme 2: sea route via the Ust-Luga – Baltiysk ferry
For complex, oversized and heavy cargo, and for sea containers from Asia, the scheme is Rotterdam → St Petersburg → ferry to Kaliningrad. A regular ferry line runs from the port of Ust-Luga in the Leningrad region to Baltiysk, allowing goods to arrive by sea without land borders.
This takes longer — from 2 weeks for goods from Europe, 23–55 days from China and on average 30–45 days from other Asian countries — but is indispensable for out-of-gauge cargo, heavy machinery and large container consignments that are difficult or expensive to move by road.

Customs and support
