Shipping goods from the EU to Kaliningrad
Kaliningrad is a Russian exclave, separated from the rest of Russia and surrounded by EU countries. For EU suppliers whose customer is in the Kaliningrad region, we offer two schemes. The fast one is road freight through Poland or the Baltic states, 5–9 days for groupage or full loads. We collect from your premises, lodge the EX1 export declaration on your behalf and send you the MRN and proof of exit for your zero-rated VAT.
For complex, oversized or sea-borne cargo, the scheme is consolidation in Rotterdam, then by sea to St Petersburg and on the Ust-Luga–Baltiysk ferry line to Kaliningrad, 14–22 days in total. We clear the goods through Russian customs, taking into account the special customs regime of the Kaliningrad Special Economic Zone. We work B2B only, from 50 kg per shipment (air freight has no weight limit), minimum service fee €200.

What suppliers ship from the EU to Russia
EU suppliers ship a broad mix of goods to Kaliningrad buyers, from groupage consignments to full loads and complex project cargo. Because the goods cross EU territory on the way to the exclave, sanctions screening is essential: we check each HS code and party before accepting cargo, and only goods that are not restricted for export to Russia are carried.
Export formalities
The export is declared on an EX1 in the EU country of loading. We lodge it on your behalf — €150 when your cargo travels via our Rotterdam warehouse, from €450 when lodged remotely — and track the MRN until the customs office of exit confirms the goods have left the EU. On arrival, we handle import clearance in Kaliningrad, including where the Special Economic Zone regime applies, and take care of EAEU certificates.
