Foreign trade outsourcing — importer of record for your Russian buyers
Your Russian customer has no import department? We take on the whole foreign-trade cycle for them: contract, payment of your invoice, currency control, logistics and customs.
Selling to a Russian company with no import department
Many Russian buyers want European products but have never imported themselves. With foreign-trade outsourcing, we run the whole cross-border side, and the buyer receives the goods at their warehouse in Russia under an ordinary domestic contract.
We can act as the contract holder (importer of record) or support the buyer’s own deal: we prepare the contract, arrange payment of your invoice, handle currency control, logistics and customs. For you as the supplier, the counterparty is an experienced importer that knows exactly what documents it needs.
What we take on
Contract
We prepare the foreign-trade contract and supporting documents with you.
Payment of your invoice
Payment to the EU or Asia through working channels.
Currency control
Full compliance with Russian Federal Law 173-FZ and the buyer’s bank.
Logistics and customs
Collection from you and end-to-end clearance.
What the arrangement gives both sides
- ✓One agreement and one responsible party
- ✓Goods delivered to the buyer’s warehouse in Russia without import hassle
- ✓Transparent cost for every stage
- ✓Compliance with currency and customs law
- ✓No need for the buyer to maintain an import department
Two ways of working
| We are the contract holder | We support the buyer’s deal | |
|---|---|---|
| Contract with you | Signed by us | Signed by the buyer, we draft it |
| Importer in the declaration | Our company | The buyer’s company |
| Currency control at the bank | Our responsibility | The buyer’s, with documents prepared by us |
| What the buyer receives | Goods in Russia under a rouble contract with VAT | Goods imported in their own name |
| Best for | First import, no foreign-currency account | Regular imports with an existing contract |

Collection from your site, export formalities in the country of dispatch, transport to the border. - 4Russian customs

Delivery to the buyer’s warehouse with a full set of closing documents.
Foreign trade outsourcing: FAQ
Is this 4PL — managing the entire supply chain?
Yes, foreign-trade outsourcing in a 4PL format: managing the supply chain from supplier vetting, payment and export formalities to transport, customs and delivery — one contractor, one set of reports.
How does the contract-holder scheme differ from importing in the buyer’s name?
With the contract-holder scheme we are the importer, and the buyer purchases goods already cleared in Russia under a rouble contract — without a foreign-currency contract or currency control. With deal support, the buyer’s company is the importer and we run all operations on its behalf.
What does it cost?
Logistics, customs payments and the agent’s fee for paying the supplier (from 3%). We calculate the exact cost per deal — every item on a separate line. The costs are borne by the Russian buyer.
What do you need from me as the supplier?
A pro forma or quotation, a product description and your company details. We prepare the draft contract, a checklist for your invoice, and the export and customs documents.
Which goods do you accept?
Only goods that are not subject to EU (or UK, Swiss or US) sanctions; HS codes and all parties are screened before the deal starts.
