A 40-foot container for large orders
A 40-foot container (FEU) holds up to 67 CBM, and the High Cube version up to 76 CBM thanks to its extra height at the same length. It costs roughly 1.5 times as much as a 20-footer but carries almost 2.5 times more — the best price per cubic metre for bulky goods. Rates start from €2,600.
For temperature-sensitive cargo we use refrigerated containers (Reefer) holding anything from −25°C to +25°C: food, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics and other sensitive products.
For a European exporter, a 40′ container is the most efficient way to fulfil a large order from a Russian distributor: one booking, one seal, one set of documents, and a single EX1 covering the whole shipment.
Types of 40-foot container
40′ Standard (FEU)
≈ 67 CBM, up to 26 t. The all-rounder for bulky cargo.
40′ High Cube (HC)
≈ 76 CBM. Same length, extra height — for light, voluminous goods.
40′ Reefer (RF)
Temperature range −25…+25°C for perishables and pharmaceuticals.

When should I choose High Cube?
When your goods are light and voluminous — furniture, packaging, insulation, textiles. A 40′ HC gives about 76 CBM instead of 67.
Can you ship food or pharmaceuticals in a reefer?
Yes, at −25…+25°C with continuous monitoring. Note that Russia bans the import of many food categories from the EU, so we check the HS code and country of origin before quoting.
Who opens the EX1?
We do. You provide the invoice and packing list; we submit the export declaration, send you the MRN and confirm the exit.
Do you accept any goods?
Only goods that are not subject to EU sanctions. We screen HS codes and the parties involved before accepting a booking.
