Road freight from France to Russia
From Paris or Lyon to our Warsaw warehouse is about 1,600 km, from Marseille about 2,000 km, and the full journey to Moscow takes 6–9 days door to door. For small consignments it is often cheaper if you deliver the goods to the consolidation warehouse yourself; for a full load we send a truck to your factory. Either way we lodge the EX1 on your behalf.
Many French shipments are cosmetics and perfume. Alcohol-based products travel as dangerous goods under ADR, with a shipper’s declaration, so we need the safety data sheet before booking. We also screen HS codes and parties against EU sanctions before collection. You receive the MRN and the electronic exit confirmation, which together support zero-rating the VAT on your export sale to Russia.

How much does road freight from France to Russia cost?
Groupage (LTL) starts from €850 for three pallets from our Warsaw warehouse to Moscow, plus collection to the warehouse priced by distance. A dedicated truck (FTL) is quoted per trip for your route. We do not quote per kilogram: groupage is priced by places and pallets, a truck per trip. The EX1 export declaration is a separate line: €150 when lodged at our Rotterdam warehouse together with our shipment, from €450 when filed remotely. Insurance starts from 0.3% of the invoice value, and the minimum service fee is €200. Send the collection address, weights and dimensions and we reply with LTL and FTL options within 2 hours.
How long does a truck from France take to reach Moscow?
6–9 days door to door on average (route: collection → Germany → our Warsaw warehouse → Brest → Moscow). Groupage waits for the weekly consolidation to close at the warehouse; a dedicated truck leaves as soon as it is loaded. Most of the variation comes from queues at the border and customs clearance in Russia. From Moscow we deliver on to St Petersburg, Yekaterinburg, Kazan, Novosibirsk or any other city.
Who lodges the EX1 and how do I get proof of exit?
We do, on your behalf — also when you sell EXW. You provide the commercial invoice and packing list; we issue the CMR, lodge the EX1 and send you the MRN. Once the goods leave the EU, the exit is confirmed electronically and you keep it as evidence for zero-rating the VAT on your sale. Your buyer in Russia handles the Russian import declaration and EAC certificates with our help.
Can perfume and cosmetics go by road from France?
