Shipping goods from Italy to Russia
The industrial north — Lombardy, Veneto and Emilia-Romagna — provides most of the volume from Italy. Italian factories nearly always sell EXW and do not handle the export themselves, so we lodge the EX1 through our agent in Milan or Verona. We collect from your premises in Milan, Turin, Bologna, Verona, Bergamo, Genoa, Florence or Naples and send you the MRN and proof of exit for zero-rated VAT.
By road, via Trieste, Vienna and Warsaw, Moscow is 7–10 days away. By sea, groupage via Genoa and Rotterdam reaches St Petersburg in 18–24 days, and full containers from Genoa reach Novorossiysk in 12–16 days. Your Russian customer receives the goods cleared and delivered. We work B2B only, with companies and sole traders, from 50 kg (air freight has no weight limit) and a minimum service fee of €200.

Road via Warsaw
Groupage through our Warsaw warehouse: a weekly truck after the Friday cut-off, from €850 for 3 pallets to a bonded warehouse in Moscow, 4–7 days. Full trucks go direct from your premises, with trailer swap or reloading at the border.
Sea via Rotterdam
Deliver to our warehouse in the port of Rotterdam (Mon–Wed); the groupage container closes on Friday and sails to St Petersburg at the weekend. 20–35 days door to door, from €200 per place (from €500 per euro pallet). Independent of queues at land borders.
Dedicated truck (FTL)
A truck loaded at your premises anywhere in the EU and driven without intermediate warehouses: from €4,500 Warsaw → Moscow, from €6,200 from Slovenia, from €6,500 from Italy.
Air freight
From any country in 2–8 days door to door via Istanbul or Dubai, charged by volumetric weight (1 m³ = 167 kg), no weight limit. Minimum service fee €200.

What suppliers ship from Italy to Russia
Italian suppliers ship furniture and lighting from Lombardy and Veneto, packaging and food-processing machinery from Emilia-Romagna, footwear and leather from the Marche and Tuscany, ceramics from Modena and Sassuolo, automotive components from Piedmont, textile and agricultural machinery, and food products such as olive oil and pasta — Russian import rules for food apply, and some EU categories are not admitted. Fashion and other luxury items are often restricted for export to Russia, so each code and value is checked first.

Export formalities
Italy is an EU member state, and the goods leave under an EX1 lodged with Italian customs. We lodge it through our agent in Milan or Verona — €150 with our cargo via Rotterdam, from €450 when lodged remotely without our transport — and track the MRN until exit is confirmed. Italian suppliers often ship in batches as goods become ready; we gather them at our warehouse and send one truck, so that each pallet does not travel at a separate rate.

Practical tips
- Plan around August holidays and Christmas: supplier readiness stretches more than the transit itself.
- Ask the factory for the dimensions of each package before we quote — furniture and machinery are often oversized in one dimension, and the rate is otherwise recalculated in transit.
- If goods are ready in batches, let us consolidate them at the warehouse rather than sending each pallet separately.

Your customer can use our supplier-payment service: they pay a payment agent under an agency agreement, and a partner company resident in the EU pays your invoice in euros by an ordinary bank transfer.
We sell EXW — who lodges the export declaration?
We do. Our agent in Milan or Verona lodges the EX1 on your behalf; you provide the commercial invoice, packing list and HS codes and receive the MRN and proof of exit.
Do you check goods against sanctions?
Yes. We screen every HS code, value and party against EU, UK, Swiss and US sanctions and dual-use lists before accepting cargo. Luxury and other restricted goods are declined.
