Export formalities

The key document is the EAV certificate of origin: under the free trade agreement between the EAEU and Vietnam it reduces or removes the import duty for your buyer, but only if it is issued before shipment. Certification and labelling requirements in Russia are the same as for Chinese goods.

Practical tips
- Apply for the EAV certificate of origin before the goods leave — once they have shipped, the duty preference is usually lost.
- Transhipment in a regional hub is the main cause of delays; waiting for the connecting vessel can take longer than the sea leg itself.
- For coffee, spices and seafood, start the phytosanitary or veterinary paperwork together with the production order.

How can my Russian customer pay me?
Your buyer can use our supplier-payment service: they pay a payment agent under an agency agreement, and a partner company resident in the EU transfers the invoice amount to you by SWIFT, quoting your invoice number. The commission is agreed with the buyer in advance. Payments for sanctioned goods are not made.
Which documents are required?
A commercial invoice with HS codes, prices and Incoterms, a packing list, the Vietnamese export declaration and, to secure the duty preference, an EAV certificate of origin. Food and agricultural goods also need phytosanitary or veterinary certificates.
Do you screen shipments for sanctions?
Yes. We only carry goods that are not subject to EU, UK, Swiss or US sanctions. Every HS code and every party to the transaction is screened before we accept the cargo, and dual-use or restricted items are declined.
