Shipping goods from Thailand to Russia
Thailand is one of South-East Asia’s industrial hubs, with strong automotive, rubber, electronics and food industries. The main port is Laem Chabang, from where cargo sails with transhipment in Singapore or Hong Kong to Vladivostok and on to Moscow in 28–38 days. Air freight from Bangkok takes 4–7 days. The rainy season and congestion in transhipment ports cause variation, so we recommend allowing an extra week to ten days on sea shipments.
We work for Thai manufacturers and exporters with customers in Russia and the CIS. We collect in Bangkok and the Laem Chabang area, book sea or air freight and handle Russian import clearance for your buyer, including the documents required for food and cosmetics. We accept business shipments from 50 kg (air has no weight limit), and goods and parties are screened against sanctions lists before we confirm any booking.

What suppliers ship from Thailand to Russia
Thai suppliers ship food and canned products, jasmine rice, seafood and tropical fruit, natural rubber and rubber goods, automotive parts and components, electronics such as hard drives, printers and components, and cosmetics. Food and cosmetics carry the strictest document requirements, so we always start by checking the product category.
Where we collect from Thailand
Bangkok, Laem Chabang and any other address.
Export formalities
The Thai export declaration is lodged at Laem Chabang or at Bangkok airport, by your broker or arranged by us. Thai exporters usually work on prepayment and need exact consignee details for the documents. For food and cosmetics, the Russian side needs veterinary or sanitary documents and, for some products, registration before import — we plan these with your buyer before the goods are ready.
How it works for you as a supplier
- 1Quote within 2 hours
Send the invoice or packing list — we check the HS codes against EU sanctions lists and quote transport, export formalities and customs clearance in Russia. - 2Collection from your premises
We pick up the goods from your warehouse or factory and take them to our consolidation warehouse or load a dedicated truck. - 3Export declaration
We lodge the export declaration on your behalf and send you the MRN and the proof of exit — the basis for zero-rating VAT. - 4Delivery to your customer
Border crossing, customs clearance in Russia and delivery to your buyer’s warehouse; tracking at every stage.
Practical tips
- Add a buffer of a week to ten days to sea shipments during the rainy season.
- Provide the exact consignee details at the booking stage — Thai export documents must match them precisely.
- For food and cosmetics, check the Russian registration and certificate requirements before production is finished.
Frequently asked questions
How long does shipping from Thailand to Russia take?
Air freight from Bangkok takes 4–7 days to Moscow. Sea freight from Laem Chabang via Singapore or Hong Kong and Vladivostok takes 28–38 days. We confirm the expected time for your shipment in the quote.
How do I get paid by a Russian buyer?
If direct transfers are difficult, your customer can pay through our supplier-payment service: the buyer settles with an agent in Russia, and a partner company resident in the EU (Estonia, Poland or Bulgaria) pays your invoice by SWIFT. The commission is agreed with the buyer; payments for sanctioned goods are not made.
What documents do I need to prepare?
A commercial invoice with HS codes, prices and Incoterms, a packing list and the Thai export declaration. For food, plant or animal products, veterinary or phytosanitary certificates are needed; for cosmetics, the Russian conformity documents are arranged with your buyer.
Do you check goods against sanctions?
Always. We only handle goods not subject to EU, UK, Swiss or US sanctions. HS codes and all parties are screened before cargo is accepted, and dual-use or restricted items are declined.
