Shipping goods from Greece to Russia
Piraeus is a major Mediterranean hub with a short Black Sea leg to Novorossiysk, which makes sea freight a natural choice from Greece: 10–14 days. Road freight runs either through the Balkans and Eastern Europe or along our southern corridors via Turkey. We collect from your premises in Athens, Thessaloniki or Piraeus, lodge the EX1 export declaration on your behalf and send you the MRN and proof of exit.
On the road route, transit takes 7–10 days, but it crosses several borders, so queues at crossings affect it more than distance. Many Greek suppliers sell EXW and have no experience of exporting to the EAEU, so we take on the export declaration and the full document set. Your Russian customer receives the goods cleared and delivered. B2B only, from 50 kg per shipment (air freight has no weight limit), minimum service fee €200.

Via Turkey, Georgia and Azerbaijan
By road from Europe to Turkey, then through Georgia and Azerbaijan to the crossing in Dagestan. 2–3 weeks in transit, from €18,000 per truck. Avoids queues at the northern border.
Southern route via Turkey and Iran
By road to Turkey, then via Iran and Azerbaijan to southern Russian border crossings or by ferry across the Caspian. For southern Russia, the Caucasus and the Volga region, and when northern borders are congested. From 40 days.
Sea via Rotterdam
Deliver to our warehouse in the port of Rotterdam (Mon–Wed); the groupage container closes on Friday and sails to St Petersburg at the weekend. 20–35 days door to door, from €200 per place (from €500 per euro pallet). Independent of queues at land borders.
Dedicated truck (FTL)
A truck loaded at your premises anywhere in the EU and driven without intermediate warehouses: from €4,500 Warsaw → Moscow, from €6,200 from Slovenia, from €6,500 from Italy.
Air freight
From any country in 2–8 days door to door via Istanbul or Dubai, charged by volumetric weight (1 m³ = 167 kg), no weight limit. Minimum service fee €200.

What suppliers ship from Greece to Russia
Greek suppliers typically ship olive oil and other food products, marble and stone, aluminium profiles, food-processing equipment and textiles. These goods are either heavy or regulated: for food we start by checking the documents required for import into Russia, and marble and stone are priced by weight, with lifting and securing planned in advance. Every HS code is checked against current restrictions.

Export formalities
Greece is an EU member state, so the export is declared on an EX1 lodged with Greek customs. We lodge it on your behalf — €150 with our cargo via Rotterdam, from €450 when lodged remotely — and track the MRN until the customs office of exit confirms departure. You receive the proof of exit for your VAT records; we then handle customs clearance in Russia for your buyer.
